Cefpodoxime Proxetil Oral Suspension IP is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It contains Cefpodoxime Proxetil, which is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative groups of bacteria. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, lower respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissue. Harmful bacteria inside or on the body are the cause of bacterial infections. This medication is converted into active cefpodoxime in the body after oral administration.

Cefpodoxime Proxetil prevents the formation of bacterial cell walls, which is the cornerstone for the survival of bacterial infection. After that, the medication eliminates the bacteria and also helps to prevent the spread of bacterial infections.
