Venuvi GM2 is an anti-diabetic medicine that helps in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and helps in controlling blood sugar levels in the body. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with other drugs. The medicine must be used as per your doctor’s guidance and ensure to take it at the same time each day. How does it work?

Venuvi GM2 is a combination medicine that contains 3 anti-diabetics: Glimepiride, metformin and Voglibose. Each one of them works with a different mechanism to provide better control on the sugar level in the blood. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that prevents complex sugars from being broken down into simple sugars like glucose.

Metformin is a biguanide that reduces glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and increases insulin sensitivity in the body. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that lowers blood glucose by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. This keeps blood glucose levels from rising to dangerously high levels after meals.
